Local beach fun

This family is back for a second year. What a beautiful family...we did this session on the 12th...yes, it rained almost ALL day. We managed to catch the full hour of non rain...can you even tell. I bet not, never worry...I always call the "game" if it is not possible. But I do pussssh the envelope to accomplish beautiful memories. i also truly appreciate how difficult, timely and stressful it is for "Mom's" to get the whole session in place. Thank you!!

"Bridge of LOVE" in Italy

This photo really speaks "thousands" of words... I am in Cinque de Terre (Italy) which was breath takingly beautiful..like where would you vacation from if LIVED here!!?? That's another topic. So this "bridge" which is a covered walk way connected the first of the 5 towns to the second. The story goes~that then the villagers were able to date others in the next town. So they met along this pathway and had little love nest spots (lol). Of course, life changes...so now they walk along it. Hence the photo...OK..see all those locks on the fence behind me? This just gets better ~lmao! So now the "in love" couples walk along the pathway and lock their love together and THEN they throw the key over the cliff into the ocean. LOL!!! Ok, I know..I am trying, but please...they are young in love and ...yes, yes..it works. whatever! So..on the inside the wall the tour guide was translating the Italian writing and it was ALL heartbreak messages for the missing other half to find! About how one of the "locked" couples would love them forever, would always be in their hearts. Aaaahhh, too be young! hee,hee! This is my funny post for the month.

Last night I was honored and touched to meet this couple. I am donating my time and photography skills for this project. I personally was amazed to hear all about this organization, how it was founded and what generous large hearted people surround us everyday. Dawna Lee (wife in red) was just so warm and welcoming, it was hard not to hug her when I left and it felt like we had know each other for a lifetime.
The gratitude for sacrifices made by our military can never truly be expressed... but thank you John Gonsalves for creating this organization so that we can help.
This project is taking place in Middleboro and they are hoping to start in September. Please click on the link and and generously donate your time, help find a contractor and monetary donations are always accepted. John explained last evening that houses go up extremely quickly (many hands make light work) and they need non-skilled volunteers also. I intend to participate with labor as well as with my photography.

WBN event at the Cln. Blackington

We had a great event last night. The Women's Business Network held an evening network event at the Colonel Blackington, Attleboro. If you have never been...give it a try~great restaurant and cozy bar.....but you CAN'T beat the beautiful, warm summer evenings on the patio. Michael Dutra was playing in the background and we were all making connections and enjoying ourselves. I was one of the organizers for this event and it was free to all. Thanks for attending.

It is hard to imagine we could ever start out this tiny. This little girl is only 3 days old... I really like that Dad is holding her up. The "rough" hands and the newborn skin are an awesome contrast. Treasure the gifts you have.

Hedley was a beloved companion for my Aunt Pat & Uncle Barry.

Hedley's joys in life were food, chasing the ball, riding in the car, food (oops he really loved that one) and Pat&Barry. He was energetic, loving, loyal and fun. He has left an empty space in all our hearts but I am sure that he is chasing his ball all over Heaven.

the magic of Photoshop!!

So my clients asked me if they had a missing member of the family could I add them in the week after. Sure! Amazing what Photoshop can do. Now mind you...we placed the missing man at the same place, in the same scene at the similar time of day. This helps make the transition like ...smooth as glass! Seriously, he looks like he was always standing there. The family was amazed and thrilled.

Photoshop (when handled correctly) can accomplish many tasks. It is always worth asking and planning to ahead a little to create a very realistic, beautiful memory forever.

This was pretty amusing to me and I was unaware that cake toppers were actually made like this! I had to stop and look at the top again, which made me chuckle out loud and photograph it from different angles. So as I got to know the couple though...I actually think the groom may have picked this cake topper out...he has a wicked sense of humor.

I know, I know! Time just flies.... where does it go?? Remember when we were kids...bored, wonder when we would be adults? Wanting to do our "stuff", be our own persons... Good reason why I am the photographer

Yup...I make ALL the boys cry!

Here is a great reason why I am the photographer.. 2 of the photos I took then the one that I am in is so "funny"!!! lmao...not only did "Mom" almost drop the camera but she focused on those buildings~perfectly! Her son's face is like "what is she doing?". Mind you people... he came to sit with me, was not my idea. Luckily, I love him and his Mom (very good friend of mine) so I am allowed to poke some fun at her! LOL! How adorable is HE!? This is the only child I have visited in the hospital... I prefer to give new parents (especially first timers) some time to adjust. Here he is at 18 months.

I really enjoy the creative side of my job. When I really get to just use colors, compliment the images and have fun! I created this one and it is being purchased as a wall wrap canvas, by her father. It is awesome to really see the images all come together and a piece of "art" for the wall ...she only 16 once! I bet Dad's glad about that fact, lol.
