Morini Gallery Art Exhibit

Please join me at the Morini Art Gallery, Mansfield~ Saturday 2/6 between 7 & 9 at a reception to meet the Artist(s), view the work and enjoy wine and cheese. Iceland Skating

Ok...so not really Iceland but 18 degrees kinda felt like it to me...went skating for a little fun but my legs got cold pretty darn quick. Guess I need those snow pants that I thought of but forgot to throw in the back of the car. A little adventure is still fun. Thank goodness for heated seats!

PPA convention 2010, Nashville~TN

Lots of photographers gathered in Nashville to listen to speakers, learn new things, check out other photographers cool images and drool over "toys" in the expo. Soooo much fun. Here was a poster of one of the covers for PPA magazine. I am trying to imitate it...haha!

Attending 2010 photographers conference

I have no photo to go along with this one but I am just going to blog a little about the Professional Photographers Association annual conference. We are in Nashville ...which by the way folks is actually colder than home in Mass! Shesh...I think I am going to suggest they hold this in the Caribbean next year (that will be fun to read in the comment box). It is being held inside Gaylord hotel..this place is huge, everyone said it was but I like the layout and easy to jump from class modals if need be. I am going to try to find myself some more coffee before the next one starts up. OH...before I go a little factoid... PPA says there about 10,000 registered photographers for this years event. Mind you some of those are from around the world (yes, really).

Custom card designs '09

I wanted to share this custom card design but did not want ruin my clients (& good friends) surprise to all! Now I am posting it, since all the cards have been delivered... this is the inside of the card which is 3/5X5s. So 6 panels and tri-folded into itself..that is why I twisted each end a touch to help everyone imagine what it would look like. I was blessed with being on one of the panels (back cover)..I can only imagine all the questions they got but after alllllllll the years of photographing for the family, I am proud to get a small spot! You know especially since the card was so big....~lol!

As everyone will probably notice..these are summer photos taken at our little lake cottage in NH. This is a great example of how wintry feeling we can make summer portraits look. I found the snowflakes to enhance the pages.. it looks awesome and each one is different (get it?!) to have a special unique feeling for the family. Next year we are going back to a wallet size card...lol! Just kidding but I know the pressure will be on to create something unique again next year! Phew...i have a few months.

Family makes the world go round....

I thought I would blog a photo of my own family...obviously taken on the way out the door but atleast we have the memory forever now. This is the "Greenwood" side, those of that were there and still some are missing. I had a great Christmas and saw almost all my family memories, hugs, smiles and love to go around.

I hope all of yours was just as wonderful.

I know I have spoke of this in the past and I have now had the chance to blog it for ALL to see. This is the only image from my childhood that I have with my mother. I can see why it was not shown to me since I can clearly see that I looked just like my mother. I even remember that little dress and I had little "Cinderella" gold sparkly shoes to go with it!

This photo's value is....completely priceless. I try to remind parents to get in a few images every few years so there kids don't have just ONE! Your children do not care if your hair need to be done, or your weight was not perfect or clothes matched...they just love you and want to see you when they are older. These images can not be replaced... new Year's resolution...take more photos with your children~they will love you for it.

So I am sitting at my cozy desk... typing away, trying to complete all this stuff and thinking to myself how amazed I am at the men & women who have been working all day long in 26degree weather and accomplished SOOOOO much! How dedicated and focused and how well they all worked together. The cold and wind was tough but no-one complaint and barely any of them stopped to eat or get warm. I am truly in "awe". Great job guys! The photo of the wall going up... I took that at 9:10AM on 12/11, then the last photo of the whole group was at 1:15PM 12/12...YES, you read that correctly!!! Can you believe how much was done~AGAIN what an amazing job!!!! The group photo to the far left is the Downings, with the CapeCod Lumber crew and John (founder of HomesForOurTroops).

The house will completely enclosed by tomorrow and then the Downing family should be able to move in in few more months. if you would like to help this cause or learn more please visit their website~

I just have to post these two cuties...I have been fortunate enough to photograph them both since before they were ever born! They are both so sweet and have great personalities! Wonder what we will do next year? lol!

Pure Networking 3

This event was held on November 23 at Trinity restaurant. Two groups, the Women's Business Network and the Women's Success Network got together to hold a free event. Fun was had by all and the event was smooth and fun. Always great to make new contacts with other business owners.

Thanksgiving 2009

I was fortunate not to have to cook for Thanksgiving and was blessed with having a great meal at my Aunt Pat's house. Scott (with napkin at the ready) is marrying his way into the family...haha! Good luck with that, at least you will be well fed. Welcome Scott! May you all be blessed with good food and loving families!

Fun Leaf fight....

How adorable is this? i am so excited have the girls back this year again, it is always a pleasure to see them growing! Missing teeth, cute hair cuts, changing personalities...all so enjoyable. We decided to end the session with these leaf ones and then i told them could tickle each other and have fun! ...and they did..luv the hair flying around.

Sisters fall of luv! 09

We had a wonderful, fall day for this family...although a tad chilly! The leaves were no t peaking but luckily the Mom is very helpful and listens to add some color to the clothes bu not too much. It looks perfect! The girls had their time for portraits and I just luv how the younger one adores her sister..better yet, the older sister is so tolerant...even while being "strangled". I am so excited I caught caught her mischievous face...she is looking up at Mom and you just know she's thinking "but I swear it doesn't hurt her, she likes it"!! LOL.

8 wk old FUN! puppy LUV

This is Luci..she's only 8 weeks old and is darn adorable...full of energy. Her Mom & I wondered why a nap did not hit...bet it did in the car on the way home! Speaking of naps...Luci wore me out today...i need a long nap~lmao! Good luck Lauren.

I just so enjoy seeing the children grow and coming back to visit. This little guy is so sweet and such a complete flirt! He's is very gentle and genuine... what a good natured little boy. He gets it from both his parents, they are so nice too! Many happy returns.

We were fortunate enough to have escaped for a few days in wine country...here some laughing and fun. This sculpture was in memorial of 9/11. It was pretty awesome, on a post in the harbour.
